The Portland Fire Museum

The Porland Fire Museum on Spring Street is one of Portland's oldest landmarks.  The museum was formerly a firehouse that was built in 1833, and served the city actively until 1971.

In 1975, the museum became the permanent home of a 1938 McCann/Diamond T Fire Truck.  The City of Portland released the pumper to the fire museum with the understanding that the family of the late Carl F. McCann would be responsible for it's restoration.
